Fallout 76 Could Be Heading to Washington D.C.


We don’t know what the first Fallout 76 Expedition will be like, but Redditer and data miner u/cyberRakan might have found one of the Expedition locations: Washington D.C.

At least, it could be Washington D.C.

While some key locations do seem to resemble landmarks in D.C., other Redditers aren’t quite so sure.

It’s difficult to tell at this stage, since one chunk of early render pixels looks similar to another, though some keen Fallout 3 players noted the images coincide nicely with Fallout 3’s depiction of a post-apocalyptic Washington D.C.

Others see it differently.

Some see the Chrysler Building, while others are convinced it’s actually Pittsburgh, and still others think it could be Arkham City, which we suspect is rather less likely.

Fallout 76 Could Be Heading to Washington D.C.

In an interview with Rock, Paper, Shotgun, Bethesda said Fallout 76 Expeditions are part of the game’s roadmap as an “off-map experience” similar to Fallout 4.

Of course, (almost) all of the above cities are viable.

We’ve been stuck in Appalachia since Fallout 76 first released, and the series has plenty of locations to pull from for these off-map experiences.

Whatever the case, we probably will have to wait a bit longer to find out.

The Fallout 76 2021 roadmap makes no mention of Expeditions.

Perhaps they’ll be part of the Private World evolutions, or maybe Bethesda will simply add them as a surprise drop.
