Teamfight Tactics is a PVP strategy game that requires players to build an effective team of champions to fight for the first place. While the game has created quite a buzz in the esports fraternity, there weren't many opportunities for players in the EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) region.
However, all of that is about to change thanks to RIot Games' latest announcement. The developers have announced that the EMEA region will now have a Teamfight Tactics Rising Legends: Gizmos and Gadgets event where the best players from the region will have a chance to prove their dominance in the game.
Let's dive in and check out everything that there is to know about the upcoming esports events for Teamfight Tactics.
Teamfight Tactics Rising Legends: Gizmos and Gadgets
Here's what the official statement from Riot Games states:
"Taking place from November 2021 to March 2022, and operated by GGTech Entertainment, players from the EMEA region will fight it out for a share of a €43,000 prize pool."
Additionally, the developers also went on to explain the structure of their entire planning for the esports scene of TFT.
Here's what the developers said,
"Based on the new Gizmos and Gadgets Set, the competition will allow players to earn points and qualify for the EMEA Finals through Ranked matches in-game or Golden Spatula Cups. Furthermore, local tournaments will be hosted, culminating in the TFT Rising Legends Superbrawl, a regional nation-based event. Throughout the whole circuit, 32 players will be advancing to the regional Finals."
This confirms that there will be multiple opportunities for players to qualify for the regional finals and eventually the TFT World Championship.
Having said that, this step from Riot Games is a brilliant move that not only paves the way for the rise of TFT esports but also encourages upcoming players to go pro.fessional.
