Competitive Overwatch fans everywhere were devastated as OWL pro player Matthew “super” DeLisi announced his retirement before Overwatch 2’s release. Confirming the news on his Twitter, Super advised it wasn’t an easy decision to make, but claims that he “has lost the passion to compete.”

With Overwatch Season 5 on the way and Overwatch 2’s eventual arrival, the retirement sent shockwaves as many fans thanked DeLisi for his years as an OWL pro. Though DeLisi is retiring from eSports, he claims streaming will still be a part of his future plans.
