Apex Legends Season 8: Are Level Cap And Progression Changes On The Way?

Apex Legends have had a 500 level cap for some time now.

It used to be a cap of only 100 but now players can grind out even more for exclusive cosmetics and rewards for achieving such heights.

Now those at the top want even further to climb, though unfortunately that isn’t likely to be the case, but perhaps other profession options could be coming in Season 8 and beyond!

Here is everything we know at the time of writing.

Will The Level Cap Increase Above 500?

All this news comes from Twitter, as it often does.

Jason McCord, the Design Director at Respawn Entertainment, recently responded to a tweet asking if there is “Any chance we ever see lift on the level 500 cap?”

His response came a few hours later:

“Some day, maybe. I'm not personally convinced that making that number bigger is the best way to feel progression in the game. We have some ideas.”

Exactly what this something else is is not yet announced, but we can’t wait to find out!

If it’s to help out players dedicated to put in the time and effort to reach level 500, it could be some pretty high-level challenges that net you amazing skins for your favourite characters.

Our bet is on a pro Season Pass, a progression track with a much more difficult progression just for those who want to play Apex Legends and nothing else, and want to be rewarded for their time!

We'll just have to wait and see how the progression in Apex Legends changes. Let's just hope it's worth it.
