The Dungeon Fighter series is one of the most successful fighting game franchises in the world, with Dungeon Fighter Online (DFO) amassing over 700m players as of May 2020.

Those that took part in the beta shared positive feedback, with fans enjoying the simple yet in-depth combat system. The 40-second trailer shows the fast-paced combat system in full flow, with a number of characters unleashing a variety of deadly combinations onto their opponents.

In addition to the lengthy list of characters, DNF Duel will also feature rollback netcode. This particular feature treats inputs from both players as if they were playing the game from the same console, guaranteeing a fair playing field.

The trailer also confirmed that DNF Duel will join the 2022 Arc World Tour, a tournament circuit where players from across the world compete for a share of $100K in prize money.

Will DNF Duel Be Free?

It's currently unclear if DNF Duel will be free-to-play. Considering the game is based on DOF, there's a chance it could happen but with other major fighting games increasing competition within the genre, there's every chance DNF Duel could release with a price tag.
