Arc System Works, Neople, and Eighting are currently working on a fighting game that involves characters from Dungeon Fighter Online. This game will be called DNF Duel and feature the online game's classes going toe-to-toe against each other.
It's been in the making for some time, having first been revealed at Nexon’s Dungeon & Fighter Universe Festival in December 2020. But what state is the game in at the time of writing? And when will the new fighting game come to consoles?

Its a brand new year and with DNF Duel due to arrive later this year, the teasers have started early. This time around the developers have shared a video that focuses on one of the games music tracks, namely “Upward” used on the Sky Tower stage. Have a watch (and listen) on the below video. Hopefully, this is the first of many updates coming in the weeks and months ahead.

Prior to the beginning of the DNF Duel open beta, the developers released various guides in understanding the game mechanics of this fighting game. So far, the tackled features in these guides were about Health, MP, Conversion System, and basic moves.
22 November 2021 -
DNF Duel developers have recently released a new official trailer for the game. This trailer showcases new moves for the Berserker, Fighter, Grappler, Inquisitor, and Ranger in the game. However, disappointingly the trailer didn't reveal any release date for the title. Other than the trailer, the developers have also revealed official social media accounts for the game. So far, Facebook, Twitter, and Youtube channels of the game has been set up in various languages. So whilst we might not have a release date, at least the project appears to be moving forward.
Release Date
DNF Duel has a confirmed release date, and it'll launch this Summer on June 28, 2022.
Characters
The first trailer only showed a few characters from the Dungeon Fighter Online game, but following the first open beta, ten playable characters were available in the roster. This included the following characters:
- Berserker
- Inquisitor
- Grappler
- Striker
- Ranger
- Hitman
- Dragon Knight
- Vanguard
- Kunoichi
- Crusader
The most recent trailer for the game also revealed two unannounced characters, which includes the Male Ghostblade and Female Mechanic. Take a look on the below trailer to catch a glimpse of these new characters who'll most likely launch with the game this Summer.
Platforms
Arc System Works, Neople and Eighting were initially coy on saying which platforms they'll release the game on. We know the game is coming to PS4, PS5, and PC, since the beta was available on both platforms.
However, there's no word if we can also expect to see the game on Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X or Nintendo Switch. Only time will tell, so stay tuned for updates.
