Where to Find Tal Rasha's Tomb in Diablo 2 Resurrected

If you're wondering where to find Tal Rasha's Tomb in Diablo 2 Resurrected, there's a good reason for that.

Tal Rasha's Tomb in Diablo 2 is inaccessible until you complete a few other requirements, including assembling the Horadric Staff. It's a lengthy questline, and a grueling boss fight awaits you at the end.

Diablo 2 Resurrected Tal Rasha's Tomb - Where to Find Tal Rasha's Tomb

Tal Rasha's Tomb lies beyond the Canyon of the Magi, but you've got a long road to travel before even getting close. The quest line starts when you find the Horadric Scroll in Act 2's sewers. Take that back to Deckard Cain, and that triggers yet another quest.

Diablo 2 Resurrected Tal Rasha's Tomb - Horadric Staff

Tal Rasha's tomb only opens to the power of the Horadric Staff, which means you get to put that back together. Step one is traveling to the Halls of the Dead to find the Horadric Cube. Leave Lut Gholein, and travel to the Dry Hills. The Halls of the Dead are located adjacent to the Hills.

Finding the cube is fairly straightforward and just involves smashing your way through hordes of enemies until you reach Bloodwitch the Wild, the Cube's guardian.

Cain sends you to the Far Oasis next, on the other side of the Dry Hills, but make sure you have poison and frost resistance before venturing in. Coldworm the Burrower releases a frost nova, and the Sand Maggots can deal poison damage too.

Go back to Cain again, and this time, he directs you to the Lost City, one of the areas near the Far Oasis. You'll start the Tainted Sun quest shortly after you arrive, but clearing the Claw Viper Temple clears both it and the Horadric Staff quest.

Diablo 2 Resurrected Tal Rasha's Tomb - Entering Tal Rasha's Tomb

Once you've assembled the Staff, venture back to Lut Gholein and head down through Harem and the Palace Cellar until you reach the Arcane Sanctuary. Neither location has branching paths, so you'll reach it eventually.

The Sanctuary has four branching paths in the waypoint room. One of them - it's random every time - leads to the Summoner boss and Horazon's Journal. You can technically just swipe the journal and run if you don't feel like tackling the boss after all the previous fights.

Either way, once you have the journal, the Canyon opens up. We've covered how to deal with the Seven Tombs puzzle already, but make sure you're ready for a difficult fight once you've finished. Duriel is waiting for you in Tal Rasha's Tomb, and he's much tougher than his sister, Andariel.
