The Diablo 2 Resurrected Horadric Cube is a key item you'll need for a main quest in Act 2, but that's just the start of its usefulness.

Horadric Cube recipes are the real appeal. The cube lets you transmute items and create something entirely new, such as turning a quiver of bolts into one of arrows or fusing broken fragments to create a whole gemstone. It's a fairly deep system that's handy at any stage in the game, but especially earlier on.

The first Horadric Cube is impossible to miss, since you need it for the Act 2 story quest that requires the Horadric Staff. Bloodwitch the Wild guards the Cube, though you can technically get around her and her spawn to grab the Cube - if you're lucky.

You can only carry one Horadric Cube at a time, but if you happen to lose or get rid of the initial one, Diablo 2 gives you two additional chances to recover the Cube. You can get another one from the Halls of the Dead again in Act 2 or obtain one in the fifth quest of Act 3.

Diablo 2 Resurrected Horadric Cube - How to Use the Horadric Cube

Using the Horadric Cube is simple and only requires you to add the items you intend for transmutation. It doubles as a storage device, so make sure to remove items you don't want involved in the process, or to save room, before beginning.

Once you're ready, select the "transmute" button. You'll get your new item if you followed the recipe or a message saying what you want is impossible if you didn't.

• 1 Magic Ring + 1 Perfect Ruby + 1 Exploding Potion = 1 Garnet Ring, level 30
• 1 Magic Ring + 1 Perfect Topaz + 1 Rejuvenation Potion = 1 Coral Ring, level 30
• 1 Magic Ring + 1 Perfect Emerald + 1 Antidote Potion = 1 Jade Ring, level 30
