Destiny 2 Season of the Splicer: Bungie Reveals New Rewards Coming Next Week

As part of a 'rewards preview', Bungie has shared the seasonal armour for the upcoming season 14, and it's certainly very... Eliksni.

Check it out below:

While the armour would previously be found in the game's Season Pass, you'll now need to unlock these via Focused Umbral Engrams and 'Seasonal Activities' - which, in this case, is likely to be the two new modes, Override and Expunge (both of which have no new details in today's blog).

Those spots in the Season Pass that previously offered armour will now offer Glimmer, Legendary Shards, Upgrade Modules, Exotic Engrams, Enhancement Cores, and Enhancement Prisms, but you'll still earn these pretty sweet looking Universal Armor Ornaments in the Season Pass' later stages.

As for weapons, players can earn three new weapons. You'll get the Cryosthesia 77k Exotic Sidearm as part of the Season Pass, as well as a new Shotgun and Heavy Machine Gun, with another four weapons earnable through Override completions and Umbral Engrams.

Finally, the season's new Legendary weapon (a la last season's 'Salvager's Salvo') is a Legendary Fusion Rifle called Null Composure that's acquirable through a new questline.

In a big step towards adding incentives to play through all of the game's activities, Strikes, Gambit and Crucible will each now have four weapons to chase, while Nightfalls will add a trio of classic Destiny 1 weapons back into the game which will cycle as Nightfall rewards (one of which looks suspiciously like Hung Jury).

Bungie has also noted that there are more weapons to find throughout the season, leaving the door open to some interesting raid rewards, presumably.

Finally, Bungie has confirmed that there are new weapon perks coming this season, but hasn't revealed what they are.
