Destiny 2's fourteenth season will be called Season of the Splicer, and will see players take on the Vex alongside Mithrax, Kell of the House of Light.
Alongside this unlikely alliance is the long-awaited return of the Vault of Glass and another pair of activities – Override and Expunge.

Override, this season's Seasonal Activity is a matchmade PvE mode that will involve hacking the Vex network in what appears to be some trippy cyber-inspired battlefields.
Expunge is a new pinnacle activity. "Each week, Guardians will uncover new vulnerabilities within the Vex Network and use Splicer Keys to infiltrate and collapse it from within," Bungie's site reads.
The new Season Pass exotic is a Stasis-based sidearm dubbed the Cryosthesia 77k. It appears the Seasonal Artefact may be the Splicer Gauntlet, which can be charged with Ether and used to hack the Vex Network.
Season of the Splicer will also see the addition of Armor Synthesis, the game's convoluted and grind-heavy transmog system. Find out more here.
