Bungie's making progress with expanding their Destiny universe. Having previously confirmed back in February they'd be pushing Destiny “into additional media,” plans seem to have advanced as they've begun searching for a Senior Executive.
As spotted in a new job listing, Bungie's seeking “Senior Executive, Development (Film, TV, Transmedia).” Specifically, that role would see the successful applicant “drive projects that extend the Destiny franchise into new categories including TV, films, books, comics and audio formats.”

Bungie's Hiring A Senior Executive For Destiny Multimedia Expansion
Working directly with the Destiny Universe Leadership Team, this role would see the Senior Executive "identify, select, guide, collaborate, and provide feedback to third parties and partners enabling them to tell additional myths in the Destiny universe."
As such, we're set to witness a significant push that explores Destiny even further, though it'll likely be some time before we witness the full results. That follows on from Bungie's recent reveal of Destiny 2: The Witch Queen, the latest expansion which launches on February 22, 2022. We'll keep you informed as we learn more.
