Geralt Voice Actor on Why He Pitied CDPR After Cyberpunk 2077 Released

Doug Cockle, Geralt of Rivia’s voice actor, said he feels sorry for CD Projekt RED and the Cyberpunk 2077 launch.

Speaking on an episode of Wassup Conversations, Cockle said he hasn’t actually played Cyberpunk yet and won’t be playing it until CDPR gets it in the state they originally envisioned.

“I'm looking forward to playing it eventually,” he said. “Bless them, CD Projekt; I love them so much and I felt really bad for them when Cyberpunk came out and there was all that stuff about bugs.

“I can't imagine how disappointed they must have been in some of the public reaction to the game.”

It’s no wonder he won’t be playing it soon either.

Geralt Voice Actor on Why He Pitied CDPR After Cyberpunk 2077 Released

Cockle plans on playing the Cyberpunk 2077 PS4 version.

Cyberpunk on last-gen was notoriously buggy, with muddy textures and poor performance.

CDPR released several hot fixes and a new patch since launch that resolves many of the issues, though as yet, Cyberpunk 2077 remains absent from the PSN.

Not that Cockle minds too much, as he said he’s busy with plenty of other projects for the time being.

Perhaps by the time CP2077 is back on the PSN, we’ll have at least the first round of Cyberpunk 2077 DLC as well.
