2021 has been another tumultuous, but breakout year for cryptocurrencies, but which coins are the top gainers in crypto so far?
Since January, we have seen thousands of new cryptocurrencies enter the market, alongside the explosion of NFTs and Play-to-Earn games. The global crypto market cap has increased by 145% since the start of the year, although volatility does remain ever-present.
Here's a look at the best-performing cryptocurrencies.
Top Cryptocurrency Gainers 2021
The top cryptocurrency gainer in 2021 is Axie Infinity (AXS). AXS' price has increased by 12,338.79% (as of September 30) to $73.72, after starting the year at $0.54.
This price increase comes as Axie Infinity continues to top the charts as the best-performing NFT. Having nearing 1 million daily users earlier this year, its developer Sky Mavis plans to implement AXS Staking soon.
