SHIB holders have been given a first look at the Shibarium UI, as development continues on the Shiba Layer-2.

In a blog post, developer xFund/Unification reaffirmed its previous Shibarium update, stating a TestNet should be coming pretty soon.

Here's the latest on the Shiba L2's development progress.

Shibarium Preview As Shiba TestNet To Launch Soon

According to Unification, the Shibarium TestNet "is planned to launch within the next months", followed by the public beta for the Shiba community.

The phrase 'next months' doesn't really tell us much about the timeframe for the Shiba Layer-2 release. It remains vague enough to re-confirm Shibarium being on track for a 2022 release.

Shibarium continues to remain a sought-after product to the ShibArmy. Set to power several other projects on the Shiba Roadmap, such as the Shiba Metaverse and Shiba Inu Game, the L2 will fast become a major part of the SHIB ecosystem.

The developers also included an image of the Shibarium UI. Showing the ability to Withdraw and Deposit, it also confirmed several features. It said transactions would be "approved in seconds for pennies", for example.

With Shiba token BONE being used to power Shibarium, the L2 also has an Earn Bone and Use Bone function. However, we're not yet sure just how this will work.

The timing of the post came some 15 minutes after the SHIB team shared news of the SHIB metaverse land sale delay.

Giving a further update on progress, Unification said: "We are in the process of deploying the second private Alpha TestNet."

Unification is now developing the tools needed for interaction on Shibarium with wallets and block explorers. Following the creation of these tools, further private testing will then happen before a final public beta.
