Shibarium Documentation Coming Soon, Says Shiba Inu's Shytoshi Kusama

More information on the Shibarium Layer-2 is coming soon, likely in a blog post by Shiba Inu lead Shytoshi Kusama, alongside details about its SHIB burn aspects.

While the Shiba Burn Portal has just released, burning over 20 billion SHIB in under a week, the pressure from the ShibArmy for more burns has not let up.

Here’s the latest on the Shibarium plans.

Shibarium Details Coming Soon

After being asked on Twitter by a SHIB holder when Shibarium would launch, Shytoshi said: “Actually pretty soon. Look for documentation very soon.”

With Shibarium remaining on track for a 2022 release, we have previously heard the Shibarium launch is “very soon”. This is as close as a few months away.

The documentation Shytoshi referred to is likely a blog post devoted to the Layer-2. He also hinted at this during a Telegram conversation.

Replying to questions in a Spanish Shiba Telegram group, Shytoshi gave some details about plans for a Shibarium post.

When one user asked about a “Medium with the future specifications of Shibarium,” the lead responded: “This is on the near horizon.”

Another user then asked what percentage Shibarium would burn. This is possibly referring to one analysis that stated a Shibarium and ShibaSwap transaction fee burn could burn 111 trillion SHIB each year.

In response, Shytoshi said: “This will be revealed with the next article on Shibarium, as well as the other strategies.”

However, Shytoshi did not disclose when exactly this new article could launch. It may also contain elements relating to SHIB FUD, after hints from the developer in a Tweet from April.

We’re not sure what exactly the other burn strategies relating to Shibarium would be.

Alongside Shibarium, all elements of the ecosystem - aside from the Shiba Inu Games - are expected to incorporate SHIB burning.

Community burns had been well received throughout 2021 and into 2022. However, the 22 billion SHIB burned through the portal demonstrated that more official burning projects could see more SHIB destroyed in a short space of time.
