Call of Duty Mobile: Beta, Release Date, Maps, Perks, Killstreaks And Everything You Need To Know About The Upcoming Release

Call of Duty Mobile's release date has been confirmed for the 1st October, after originally being announced by Activision in March 2019, the most popular console FPS franchise in history will finally be heading to handheld devices. Although eyes and ears will firmly be fixed on Modern Warfare 2019, many are quickly turning their attention to thew mobile version of Call of Duty as it is currently undergoing the Call of Duty Mobile beta. More information is being revealed daily and we're all very excited for the the Call of Duty Mobile Release Date.

The game is being developed by Tencent studio Timi, a studio that has a wealth of experience in producing multiplayer online games for mobile. Here’s everything you need to know ahead of the full release of Call of Duty Mobile.

All Modes Are PvP

All modes that have been announced are player-versus-player, including the battle royale mode. Activision have announced that the game won’t solely be multiplayer. Additional modes are set to be announced at a later date. The confirmed modes below will all support up to ten players, assuming that the team-based modes will be 5v5.

Maps From Black Ops & Modern Warfare

Unlike any other Call of Duty title, Call of Duty Mobile will feature maps from across the Modern Warfare and Black Ops franchises, offering players a rich and diverse range of iconic maps from several Call of Duty games. Nuketown, Crash and Hijacked were the first maps that were revealed. Below is a full list of confirmed maps:

Plenty of Customisation

As always with a Call of Duty title, there are several customisation options and CoD Mobile is no different. Players will be able to select a number of familiar faces from the franchise and have the ability to change headgear, backpack and clothing of each character. Here’s a list of confirmed iconic characters that will be available in the game:

Scorestreaks Over Killstreaks

While Modern Warfare will see the return of Killstreaks on October 22nd, Scorestreaks will be used on Call of Duty Mobile. Offering a diverse range of equipment for players to earn, the streaks are very similar to those from the Black Ops series.

Unique Create A Class System

The Create A Class system in Call of Duty Mobile differs from how it works on console. Players will choose a primary weapon (with slots for an optic and three attachments) and a secondary weapon with the same customisation options. Primary weapons include Assault Rifles, Snipers, LMGs, SMGs and Shotguns while secondary weapons consist of pistols, melee weapons and launchers.

Players can choose an explosive grenade and tactical grenade to conquer the opposition and will be able to select a weapon Skill that works similar to Specialists in Black Ops 4. Skills include the Purifier, War Machine, Death Machine, Transform Shield, Sparrow and the Tempest.

Three Perk slots will be available to choose from. They range from “Fast Recover” which increases health regeneration, “Ghost” where enemies can’t see you on their UAVs and “Demo Expert” which increases explosive resistance.

When Is CoD: Mobile Available?

The closed beta for Call of Duty Mobile is currently underway in India, Canada and Australia. Beta sessions are likely to be available in other regions in the coming months ahead of the full release of the game on iOS and Android devices.
