Call of Duty: Warzone: Soon To Support 200 Player Games

Call of Duty: Warzone has been out for over 24 hours now, and it seems to be a big hit with players. Leading up to the release, the possibility of being in a game of 200 players was proved to be a false leak, but it could become reality very soon.

Infinity Ward Studio Head Patrick Kelly said to USA TODAY in an interview that they have a 200 player version working in the studio and are currently playtesting the higher player count.

He said, “We brought a number of twists to battle royale”. He went on to say “I do think the world you play in is going to be undeniably unique. For one thing, we are initially going to roll out with 150 players, when you are typically seeing 60 to 100. Actually, I can tell you we are already playing with 200 players. We are going to release that a little bit later.”

Without specifying a time frame, he mentioned that it would be added in "a little bit later", which hopefully translates into a March release.

Unfortunately, nothing has been mentioned about Quads but we imagine it will be included in an update around the same time as the roll-out of the higher player count.
