Thanks to regular doses of weapon balancing issued by Raven Software, the metagame changes on a regular basis, with certain weapons featuring the loadouts of many players looking to be the last one standing.

The Volk assault rifle (AR) arrived with Vanguard's integration into the battle royale. Featuring a fast fire rate and surprisingly high mobility levels, making it a viable option in close-range and mid-range combat. The sheer number of attachments that are available can be overwhelming, meaning it can be tricky to find the best to attach to this particular AR. What Is The Best Volk Warzone Loadout?

Having spent some time getting to grips with the Volk, we've discovered a combination of attachments that will allow you to excel in mid-range combat. Check out the full list of attachments in the table below.

Like most AR loadouts, this build focuses on minimising damage drop-off and improving recoil levels. After dropping into some Rebirth Reinforced, the Volk is an excellent option to deal with opposition at closer distances and those further away.

It may not feature anywhere near the guns considered to be a part of the meta but it's an excellent alternative that often flies under the radar.

How To Unlock the Volk in Warzone

To access the Volk, players will need to be Level 55 in either Vanguard or Warzone, so it may take some time to get your hands on this particular AR. Level up as fast as possible by using Double XP Tokens and once you've unlocked the Volk, use a Double Weapon XP Token to get your hands on the attachments needed to improve its performance.

Best Volk Warzone Attachments

After trying a range of different combinations to make the Volk the perfect all-round AR, we decided to settle on this build thanks to its improvements in accuracy and a huge increase in magazine size.

• Muzzle: MX Silencer
• Barrel: Krausnick 428mm 05V
• Optic: Slate Reflector
• Stock: Krausnick S12C PS
• Underbarrel: Carver Foregrip
• Magazine: 7.62 Gorenko 40 Round Mags
• Ammo Type: Lengthened
• Rear Grip: Polymer Grip
• Perk: Steady
• Perk 2: Fully Loaded

This combination of attachments enables players to use the Volk at further distances without impacting its close-range performance too much. The combination of MX Silencer and Carver Foregrip drastically improve accuracy levels while the Fully Loaded Perk ensures you rarely run out of ammo for the 40 Round Drums.

The choice of Lengthened appears to be the preferred Ammo Type thanks to the increase in bullet velocity and as for the best Optic to use, it comes down to personal preference so if you're not a fan of the Slate Reflector, equip the Nydar Model 47 instead.

Best Volk Warzone Class

Once the best attachments have been equipped, turning your attention to the rest of the loadout is equally as important thanks to the wide variety of Perks and Equipment that you can use to earn even more advantages over the opposition.

Perks

• Double Time (Perk 1)
• Ghost (Perk 2)
• Combat Scout (Perk 3)

To make the most of the Volk's mobility, we've gone with Double Time as the first Perk. The increase in Tactical Sprint length makes navigating Caldera extremely easy. This combined with Ghost keeps your location hidden from any enemy Spy Planes that could be patrolling the skies.

The third and final Perk we've selected is Combat Scout. The bright orange outline that appears when a shot has landed is a great way to spot anyone attempting to retreat through the dense jungle.

Equipment

• Lethal: Frag Grenade
• Tactical: Smoke Grenade

This is a trusty combination of equipment perfect for dealing extra damage and dodging any unwanted engagements. Throw the Frag Grenade into the window of a building to deal any damage to campers and if you find yourself in the open, pop the Smoke Grenade for some temporary cover while you make an escape to safety.

Is The Volk Good in Warzone Pacific?

In my opinion, the Volk isn't the very best AR to use in Caldera but its impressive mobility sets it apart from other weapons in the category. In busy areas such as Capital and Resort, the extra movement speed could well be the difference between staying alive or a trip to the Gulag. If you want to use an alternative to the weapons dominating the meta, I recommend giving the Volk a try.
