Call of Duty: Vanguard To Feature New Patrol Game Mode

Call of Duty: Vanguard's release is just a few months away and with Sledgehammer Games already showcasing the single-player campaign, the developer will be revealing a wealth of information surrounding the hotly-anticipated multiplayer. Ahead of the reveal on September 7th, the developer has already teased some of the new additions and innovations that will be arriving when the game launches on November 5th.

One of the new game modes making its Call of Duty debut is Patrol, an objective-based mode that takes plenty of inspiration from Hardpoint and rather than a fixed set of hills that change every sixty seconds, players will battle it out for a single scoring zone in a bit to score the victory.

Unlike Hardpoint, Patrol's scoring zone constantly moves across the entire map enabling the action to take place in all areas rather than just a few fixed sections. In order to score points, players must stand inside the zone. As with all new game modes, it will take some time for players to learn the route of the objective and how to manipulate the spawns in order to get the upper hand over the opposition.

When Will Patrol Launch?

Players will get their first chance to play Patrol as part of Vanguard's beta which gets underway on September 10th. The first weekend is exclusive for PlayStation users while the second weekend will be available across all platforms.
