Vanguard Leaker Discovers Unreleased Semtex Grenades

The range of equipment available in Call of Duty Vanguard is a hot topic of conversation within the community. For most of Season 1, many have used the Incendiary Grenade to their advantage before Sledgehammer Games implemented a nerf.

As the start of Season 2 nears, players are expecting a wealth of brand-new content to arrive ranging from new Operators to multiplayer maps.

Ahead of the new season, a leaker has managed to uncover an unreleased piece of equipment that heavily resembles the Semtex grenade from previous Call of Duty titles.

The leak uncovered by notable data miner 'Real1tyUK,' will make Semtex the second grenade to arrive as a piece of post-launch content. After finding the unreleased piece of lethal equipment within Vanguard's game files, they were able to load into a private match and test them.

The short clip shows how the Semtex will interact with the environment and as expected, the grenade will stick to any kind of surface including other players, making the grenade an incredibly useful piece of equipment once it releases.

While some are looking forward to the addition, some were quick to criticise Sledgehammer Games regarding the addition of yet another grenade with no Trophy System to counter them. "They keep adding explosives but no trophy system," added one user.

Will Vanguard Get A Trophy System?

Although the addition of a Trophy System would take away from the World War II setting of Vanguard, it would reduce the huge number of grenades that fly all over the map over the course of a match. It will be interesting to see if Sledgehammer Games does decide to add a Trophy System in a future update but as of now, there's no sign of one appearing.
