14 February 2022 - Season 2 Start Time
Today is the day! Season 2 of Vanguard will begin, much to the excitement of the community. The upcoming season is expected to go live at 5PM GMT, so there's still a few more hours to complete the Season 1 Battle Pass.
11 February 2022 - Ranked Play Details
Minimal information surrounding Vanguard Ranked Play has appeared, much to the curiosity of players. Thankfully, the Call of Duty League and Treyarch are hosting a stream taking a deep dive into what the new competitive playlist has in store.
10 February 2022 - Season 2 Update Size
As the update begins to roll out, players are wondering how much hard drive space Season 2 will fill. For PlayStation 5 players, the update is 14.5 GB in size and we expect it to be a similar size for Xbox and PC platforms.
9 February 2022 - Season 2 Roadmap
Activision has unveiled the full roadmap for Season 2 and as expected, the upcoming season is jam-packed full of new content ranging from the debut of Ranked Play to the arrival of brand-new multiplayer Perks.
8 February 2022 - Armoured War Machines
After weeks of rumours and speculation, the official Call of Duty Twitter account unveiled the first teaser for Season 2. The post states armoured war machines will arrive in multiplayer, fuelling rumours surrounding Ground War making a return.
7 February 2022 - Season 2 Artwork
Thanks to @SizePlaystation, the artwork for Season 2 has appeared. Alongside three brand-new Operators, tanks and a motorcycle are present. Are these vehicles arriving as part of the new Ground War mode?
4 February 2022 - Search and Deploy Event
Season 2 is expected to feature a brand-new seasonal event known as Search and Deploy. While plenty of details surrounding Warzone's part of the event, minimal details on Vanguard's side of the event have yet to appear.
Vanguard Season 2 Start Date & Time
The latest Battle Pass is set to end at the beginning of February, more specifically February 2nd, but the new season will commence on February 14th after Sledgehammer Games revealed that it will continue to address various issues impacting the game. Here are all the timings you need to know:

Vanguard Season 2 Battle Pass
As with the start of any season, a brand-new Battle Pass complete with 100 Tiers of rewards will launch. Depending on the theme of the season, players will be able to get their hands on a range of weapon blueprints, Operator Skins, and more. Vanguard Season 2 Update Size
According to @PlaystationSize, the Season 2 update has appeared on the PlayStation database and as it begins to roll out, the PlayStation 5 update is 14.5 GB in size. Vanguard Season 2 Maps
Season 2 will include the addition of two brand-new multiplayer maps to Vanguard. Gondola and Casablanca are maps with a "three-lane" structure, a feature heavily requested by the community.
Vanguard Season 2 Operators
Operators have become a key part of the Call of Duty multiplayer experience and it's highly likely at least one Operator will be appearing when Season 2 gets underway. Thanks to the roadmap we now know the names of the three characters arriving over the course of the season:
Vanguard Season 2 Trailer
On February 8, Activision showcased the official cinematic trailer for Season 2 of Vanguard. The two-minute trailer introduces Taskforce Yeti attempting to infiltrate a Nazi-controlled castle. On show are a range of LMGs, an SMG, and several melee weapons including a shovel and wrench. Check out the trailer below:
Vanguard Season 2 Perks
In amongst the new Operators and guns are two new multiplayer Perks. Armory will arrive in the Perk 1 slot and will act as a direct counter to Engineer while Mechanic will appear in the Perk 3 slot. Mechanic reduces the Field Upgrade charge time, allowing players to earn their Field Upgrades quicker than normal.
Vanguard Season 2 Guns & Weapons
Each season brings new guns and melee weapons into the arsenal, spicing up the ever-changing metagame. Season 1 saw the arrival of the Cooper Carbine assault rifle, Welgun submachine gun, and the Gorenko Anti-Tank Rifle, meaning there's a chance of a new LMG or Marksman Rifle to join the arsenal.
