With the release of Call of Duty: Vanguard a few months away, players are getting their first hands-on experience with the game's multiplayer thanks to the beta. The beta gives the community the perfect chance to express their thoughts and opinions to Sledgehammer Games, which will aim to make changes before the full release of Vanguard on November 5th.
Just like many FPS titles, Vanguard sees players respawn after being killed by an enemy. The location of these spawns is usually the same or can be memorised as the players grind the game more and more.
With the open beta being tested out by all kinds of players, including Call of Duty League pros, spawns have become a hot topic for discussion. with many expressing their frustration with the return of squad spawns.
COD Vanguard Squad Spawns
The ill-famed “squad spawn” feature has returned after making an unpopular appearance in 2019's Modern Warfare. While Modern Warfare is a recent release, top-tier players don’t seem to attest to its competitive standard.
In this clip by Dillon ‘Attach’ Price, he seems to be taken aback by the spawn system taking place in front of him. The clip shows the Minnesota ROKKR star easily spawn killing the opposition. It wasn't just Attach expressing concern for the return of squad spawns. Three-time Call of Duty world champion James "Clayster" Eubanks also appeared annoyed with the feature returning.
Will Squad Spawns Be Fixed?
With many players frustrated with squad spawns appearing on the vast majority of Vanguard's maps, the community is hoping that Sledgehammer Games will have time to rectify this issue before the full game launches. If squad spawns are in Vanguard, the competitive community will be quick to express their annoyance.
