The single-player campaign of Modern Warfare 2 is another blockbuster storyline involving Task Force 141 and you can play it now. The campaign is one of three pillars within Infinity Ward's latest title which is a sequel to the events of 2019's Modern Warfare. Operation Dark Water
This mission sees players searching for controls of a missile heading to America. The setting looks familiar to the Wet Work multiplayer map from Call of Duty 4. Check out seven minutes of gameplay in the trailer below.
Wet Work
The wet work name is synonymous with Modern Warfare but in the Modern Warfare 2 campaign, it showcases new movement and swimming mechanics.
Players take control of Gaz as they and Price attempt to discover who is smuggling goods to Al Qatala.
Tower
Tower takes place in a major city with the mission starting as players rappelling down the side of a building.
Players can choose whether to enter the building head or feet-first. In addition, Infinity Ward says players can tackle the mission in their own way, suggesting various methods of completion.
Recon by fire
This particular mission resembles the iconic All Ghillied Up level from Call of Duty 4. Price and Gaz join forces in a bid to source Al Qatala missiles on an island off the coast of Spain.
The level will include weather that will influence bullet trajectory.
Vehicle Mission
Another mission sees players duck and dive out of vehicles in a high-speed chase. Thanks to a vehicle mechanic overhaul, players can shoot from out the windows and climb on their rooftops for new ways to traverse the terrain.
Nightwar
Under the cover of darkness, players must recover the wreckage of a downed helicopter shot down by Al Qatala. After dealing with a huge crowd of hostiles, the mission concludes with another rocket dealing further damage.
