Black Ops Cold War Zombies has been one of the best iterations of the game mode in quite some time.

Players jumped straight into Die Maschine at launch, uncovering a variety of clues to gain additional context to the mysterious Dr Vogel and his experiments that took place during World War 2.

Now, Firebase Z has taken over and players are checking out all the new intel within the new map.

One change that has been amazing is the ability to choose any weapon to begin a zombies match with.

But, it can be a difficult process to determine which weapon is the best to use.

So, what is the best weapon for zombies? Here's the answer!

Hauer 77

At the beginning of Black Ops Cold War's cycle, the SPAS-12 was the unified king of zombies.

The shotgun would decimate the endless horde of zombies every match, and it easily mowed down the boss zombies.

Now, the meta has shifted a bit and a new shotgun has emerged at the top.

The Hauer 77, the first shotgun you unlock within zombies is now unquestionably the best shotgun within zombies. 

This is due to the sheer power the weapon has the more you upgrade it; as it becomes quite powerful. 

Noahj456 has been spotted using the Hauer in recent videos, so that is a good testament to the power of the weapon.
