The Best Black Ops Cold War Marshal Loadout

Season 5 of Black Ops Cold War is in full swing and although plenty of focus is on the Call of Duty: Vanguard worldwide reveal, Treyarch is already beginning to roll out even more content to multiplayer and Zombies, much to the excitement of the community.

Alongside the EM2 assault rifle, TEC-9 SMG, and the Cane melee weapon, a brand-new weapon has been added to the ever-expanding arsenal and is arguably one of the more unique secondary weapons that can be equipped. Known as the Marshal, this break-action sidearm resembles a shotgun more than a pistol but packs a deadly punch when getting up close and personal with an opponent. With that said, what is the best Marshal loadout to use in Black Ops Cold War?

With the potential of scoring a quick one-shot kill, the Marshal is guaranteed to make an impact in close-quarters combat but if you're looking at using the pistol at longer distances, it's worth considering another option to use as the damage drop-off is huge.

Thankfully, there are a range of attachments that can improve the performance of the Marshal to increase its versatility during a match. So, what are the best Marshal attachments to equip?

Best Marshal Black Ops Cold War Attachments

  • Barrel: 6.5" Cut Down
  • Stock: Dual Wield
  • Ammunition: Dragon's Breath

Compared to other pistols in the arsenal, there are a limited number of attachment combinations that can be equipped onto the Marshal. On this occasion, we've selected the cut-down barrel for further improvements to firepower alongside equipping Dual Wield, giving you two Marshals and even more opportunities to deal a ridiculously high amount of damage.

To add even more damage, we chose the infamous Dragon's Breath rounds that will significantly weaken your opponent if the first shot doesn't secure the kill.

Perks

  • Perk 1: Flak Jacket / Tactical Mask
  • Perk 2: Scavenger / Assassin
  • Perk 3: Ninja / Ghost

To avoid taking any additional damage from lethal and tactical equipment, we went with the combination of Flak Jacket and Tactical Mask alongside Assassin and Scavenger in order to resupply ammo during a match and to earn some additional score when eliminating an enemy that's on a killstreak.

The last two Perks we chose are Ninja and Ghost to suppress footstep audio and to remain hidden from any Spy Planes patrolling the skies.

Wildcard

As we've chosen six Perks, the Perk Greed Wildcard has been selected. Due to the limited range of attachments that are capable of making an impact, more Perks increase the chances of survival when the opposition gets too close for comfort.

Is The Marshal Good In Black Ops Cold War?

After spending a bit of time getting to grips with the Marshal, I think that it's a solid addition to the pistol category which already features plenty of strong options. The double-barrel impact deals huge damage which dominates in close-range engagements but its lack of performance at range may lead players to select a Diamatti or a 1911.

If you're looking for a more unique pistol to dominate multiplayer with, I would certainly recommend giving the Marshal a spin.
