Season 6 of Black Ops Cold War is in full swing and thanks to Treyarch's latest dose of weapon tuning, the EM2 assault rifle has been nerfed, much to the delight of players that were struggling to get the upper hand over their opponents.

The well-rounded British rifle is armed with a moderate rate of fire and surprisingly high levels of mobility in close-range engagements and has proven extremely popular in multiplayer.. Thanks to the Gunsmith, there are a variety of attachments that can significantly improve the performance of the rifle in mid-range and long-distance duels.

With that said, what are the best EM2 attachments to equip to dominate the opposition in multiplayer? Find the best loadout and attachment combination in this guide!

How To Unlock

The process of unlocking the EM2 is incredibly straightforward as it was one of the two weapons that was included in the Season 5 Battle Pass. Players had to reach Tier 15 of the Battle Pass to get their hands on it. In Season 6, players must kill two or more players rapidly in 15 different completed matches.

EM2 Black Ops Cold War Best Attachments

After spending some time testing out a range of attachments for the EM2, we've found a combination that packs a deadly punch at long distances without impacting mobility level.

• Muzzle: Muzzle Brake .280
• Barrel: 25.8" Task Force
• Stock: CQB Pad
• Handle: Speed Tape
• Underbarrel: Bruiser Grip

This combination of attachments increases firepower where only a few bullets to the upper body are needed to eliminate an opponent in a couple of seconds regardless of range. The combination of Muzzle Brake and Task Force barrel bolster damage range while Bruiser Grip improves movement speed, making it very easy to duck in and out of cover quickly.

If you're looking for a bit more ammunition, try replacing the Speed Tape for the STANAG 40 RND magazine to minimize the need to reload after every single engagement.

It's all well and good having the best EM2 attachments equipped but it's just as important to select the best secondary weapon and Perks in order to make the biggest impact. Here's our recommended secondary as well as the best Perk combination and best Field Upgrade to use.

Secondary Weapon

• Diamatti

The Diamatti heavily features in many multiplayer loadouts thanks to its incredible output of damage in close-quarters scenarios. The three-burst pistol is the perfect crutch to fall back on when there's no time to reload or the EM2 isn't best suited to the task at hand.

Perks

• Perk 1: Flak Jacket / Tactical Mask
• Perk 2: Scavenger / Assassin
• Perk 3: Ninja / Ghost

Thanks to the Perk Greed Wildcard, you can equip a total of six Perks at once, giving you even more advantages. The combination of Flak Jacket and Tactical Mask increases resistance to lethal and tactical equipment while Scavenger and Assassin give you the ability to resupply ammunition and earn a bonus score by taking out any opponent on a killstreak.

The last two Perks are perhaps the most useful. Ninja muffles footstep audio, allowing you to move around the map without gaining any unwanted attention, while Ghost conceals your location from any enemy Spy Planes that regularly patrol the skies.

Equipment

• Lethal: Semtex
• Tactical: Stun Grenade

While this combination of equipment may seem a bit boring, it's arguably the best to use in Black Ops Cold War multiplayer. Throw the Semtex to deal some additional damage and if that doesn't stop an enemy in their tracks, follow up with a Stun Grenade to slow their movement, making them easy pickings for the EM2.

Field Upgrade

• Trophy System

The Trophy System is the ultimate tool to protect you and your teammates from receiving any further damage. Place it in a busy objective to deflect any incoming grenades from doing any harm.

Wildcard

• Perk Greed

As mentioned above, we selected Perk Greed as our Wildcard for the best EM2 loadout. With the rifle already dealing huge amounts of damage with five attachments equipped and with minimal need for any additional equipment, having six Perks to gain every possible advantage over the opposition seems like a no-brainer.
