The information on a new Zombie making their way out of the Dark Aether emerged on September 21st when Treyarch posted a brand-new teaser image showcasing a new undead menace.

In the foreground of what appears to be some kind of Dark Aether portal, a creature armed with at least two heads full of razor-sharp teeth along with boils on its back that look fit to burst all over anyone that gets a little too close. The ever-observant Zombies community was extremely quick to identify the creature as a Margwa that has previously featured in Black Ops 3 and Black Ops 4.

It will be interesting to see how the Margwa ties into the existing storyline and how the beast reacts when leaving the Dark Aether. One thing is for sure, the return of the Margwa isn't an ideal situation for Requiem and Omega who are continuing to harness the Dark Aether to power their own agendas.
