Best AK-47 No Recoil Build

Like the majority of assault rifles on Black Ops Cold War, the AK-47 excels in mid to long-range engagements. What sets it apart from its counterparts is its excellent damage output, enabling players to deal plenty of damage even when they’re hiding behind cover.

The AK47 is a special weapon because it has gorgeous ironsights and with the right Gunsmith combination, has minimal recoil. Because the rate of fire is a little slower, you won't waste your shots and can always count on having enough ammo in the clip for a multi-kill.

AK-47 Cold War Best Attachments

Here are the best AK-47 attachments to use in order to get a great no recoil weapon. It leverages some late unlocks so be sure to grind out any double XP weekends and use weapon XP Tokens to level the gun up.

  • Muzzle: KGB Eliminator
  • Barrel: 18.2" VDV Reinforced
  • Underbarrel: Spetsnaz Grip
  • Mag: VDV 50 RND Fast Mag
  • Handle: GRU Elastic Wrap

This combination of attachments can only be obtained once you hit level 53, meaning they are tough to access but pack a hefty punch. The muzzle and grip bring down the vertical and horizontal recoil so drastically it turns into a laser beam!

Combined with the GRU Elastic Wrap, you can reduce the ADS time by 30%. Flinch resistance by 60% and aim while going prone. For those that find the iron sight difficult to use, switch the KGB Eliminator muzzle for an optic of your choice.

For mid-range combat, we recommend the Millstop Reflex but for those long-distance engagements where accuracy is key, select the Axial Arms 3x for a crystal-clear view of those faraway targets.

Other Best Loadouts

If you're not feeling this loadout, we've got some alternative options for you. To increase the movement speed of the weapon when ADS, try using the Spetsnaz Compensator Muzzle. This will alleviate the 10% Shooting movement speed reduction and reduce the horizontal recoil slightly. You should also consider attaching the 18.2" Takedown Barrel as this will alleviate the 20% Aim walking movement speed reduction experienced with the VDV Reinforced.

Or you can try and use the KGB Skeletal Stock that will offer up a +40% aim walking movement speed  If you're doing a lot of your fighting with this weapon up close, try using the Infiltrator Grip for your Underbarrel for a 5% boost to movement speed, shooting movement speed and aim walking movement speed.

Perhaps the ADS time is too slow? Try equipping the standard 40 round magazine to remove the 25% reduced ADS time. Reload times will be increased, but it's a 10% difference that may not be noticeable as you'll have plenty of ammo.

AK-47 Pro Class

  • Optic: Microflex LED
  • Barrel: 18.2" VDV Reinforced
  • Underbarrel: Spetsnaz Speedgrip
  • Handle: Speed Tape
  • Stock: KGB Skeletal Stock

This set of attachments is arguably one of the strongest AR loadouts to use in League Play. The reinforced barrel provides a significant improvement in performance at longer distances while the choice of speed tape increases aim down sight speed by 10%.

Lastly and by no means least is the skeletal stock. Improving sprint to fire time and aim walking movement speed, this attachment allows you to use the AK-47 effectively even in close-quarters situations thanks to additional movement speed and improved reaction times.

Secondary Weapon

Even if you have your AK-47 set up perfectly you'll still need to consider which secondary weapon to use. Here are some great options.

  • Cigma 2

Use the Cigma 2 to lock onto any Spy Planes or Attack Helicopters that enter the airspace during a match to maintain an outdoor presence on the map.

If you are after a secondary that deals more damage to your opponents, select the 1911 pistol. Even with no attachments, its semi-automatic rate of fire can be the perfect crutch to fall back on when the going gets tough. Another option is the Diamatti, head here for the best setup.

Lethal

  • Frag Grenade

Perhaps the most versatile piece of lethal equipment in the game, the frag grenade can be used in a multitude of ways that often result in an explosive ending for an enemy and another kill for you.

Tactical

  • Stun Grenade

Some of the maps on Black Ops Cold War are filled with plenty of corners to hide in and ambush an opponent. Be sure to throw your stun grenade around the corner or into an area where an enemy could be hiding to scout what’s ahead of you.

Field Upgrade

  • Trophy System

Once unlocked, the trophy system is a crucial component of your loadout, especially when making a play on a hotly contested area of the map. Place the trophy onto a Domination flag or a Hardpoint hill to deflect any incoming equipment being thrown by the opposition.

Perks

  • Engineer
  • Scavenger
  • Ghost

Thanks to its outright power, additional attachments aren’t necessary in order to achieve success with the AK-47. Engineer allows you to spot any enemy equipment and Field Upgrades through walls, ideal for looking out for any enemy Field Mics and Proximity Mines. Scavenger is the perfect second perk as it enables you to replenish your ammo supply from fallen soldiers, allowing you to keep laying down the fire.

Lastly, Ghost keeps you hidden from any enemy Spy Planes whenever you are moving, ideal for traversing the map undetected.

Wildcard

  • Danger Close

With no need for any extra attachments or perks, we selected Danger Close as our Wildcard. This particular Wildcard gives you the ability to spawn in with two pieces of lethal and tactical equipment, further adding to the firepower that this loadout possesses.

Tips For Using the AK-47 in Cold War

Thanks to the immense damage output of the AK-47, it is incredibly easy to deal with a wealth of damage in close-quarters engagements. Getting in amongst the action is a sure-fire way of scoring plenty of kills and a large amount of score, meaning you will have access to your Scorestreaks much quicker than playing passively.

For players that don't like getting involved in the fast-paced chaos, the AK-47 is perfect for playing just outside of the action zones and picking off any opponents that head to a quieter area of the map in a bid to catch a break from the action. More often than not, these players are often at minimal health, making them easy pickings.
