Best PBX-45 Loadout

The PBX-45 is a really solid weapon in Battlefield 2042. You have to remember one thing though: it's an SMG. Don't start challenging baddies with big guns at longer ranges! That's just a silly idea. Stay in close-quarters, defending and attacking objectives with flanking in mind, and you'll have the upper hand in close-up combat by a long way.

PBX-45 Attachments

Here are the best attachments for the best PBX-45 loadout:

• Muzzle: Factory Barrel
• Scope: K8 Holo
• Ammunition: Standard Issue
• Mount: Cobra Grip

There are several options for the PBX-45, but our favourite muzzle attachment is actually the Factory Barrel. If you really hate this gun's accuracy and range then feel free to stick on the Extended Barrel, but currently, we're going for the snappiest SMG loadout we can, so go with the less bulky one.

It's also why we're using the Standard Issue ammunition type too - the High-Power rounds do offer a lot of boosts but at the cost of a smaller mag size and slower handling.

Finally, we've added a nice, clean scope with the K8 Holo, and are finishing the loadout off with the Cobra Grip, which boosts accuracy and in general helps a great deal with actually getting your shots on target before you have to reload.

PBX-45 Secondary, Throwable, and Gadget

• Secondary: G57
• Throwable: Frag Grenade
• Gadget: Ammo Crate

The G57 is a fairly strong secondary weapon. It's less powerful than the M44 by a long way, but it fires a lot faster and is much more forgiving when you miss a shot. You'll be able to get follow-ups off before getting killed, which makes it work well as a quick switch after you've emptied your MBX magazine.

Frag Grenades are here too, as they're ridiculously strong tools both for pushing and holding enemies back. If you're defending a point and frag around a corner, you'll buy yourself valuable seconds to reload your small magazine. Likewise, with a well-thrown frag, you'll be able to utterly destroy your enemies if they've hunkered down in a confined space.

The Ammo Crate is a bit of a team-player option, but it's good for the SMG user too. With your PBX-45, it'll help massively because your gun has a much faster rate of fire than other guns. That's why in the stats section below the number is lower than most ARs and LMGs. It sprays bullets like there's no tomorrow, so you'll need to reload and use more ammunition than most others too. Bring the crate along and restock when possible.
