Can You Play Battlefield Hazard Zone Solo?

Battlefield 2042 made headlines when it was revealed that the game would be an online-only multiplayer experience, with no single-player campaign in sight, though fans who like to play by themselves are hoping that they can play Battlefield 2042’s Hazard Zone solo.

Hazard Zone is meant to be a more hardcore experience with plenty of loot to get and harder enemies to kill, which sounds appealing to a lot of gamers, sounding like something that would be one hell of a time if there was any single-player.

Can You Play Battlefield Hazard Zone Solo?

Unfortunately, it was stated that Hazard Zone in Battlefield 2042 is going to require 4-player squads, diminishing any hope for those that wanted to play this mode by themselves, which is really disappointing.

Granted, EA and Ripple Effect are committed to making the game a pure multiplayer experience, so we can only hope that the servers are fine at launch and none of the Specialists are overpowered in any way but we’ll have to wait for the results.

The lack of any single-player content in Battlefield 2042 is disappointing, especially since Hazard Zone has so much potential for fun solo play, but it looks like it wasn’t meant to be and fans have to make peace with that.

All we can do is hope that EA and Ripple Effect listen to all the clamouring for solo play in Battlefield 2042’s Hazard Zone, but don’t bet the bank on that happening.

Battlefield 2042 is coming to the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC on November 19.
