  • Quick Answer: Check out a detailed look at the gameplay trailer for Yasmine, the new fighter arriving in Street Fighter 6 Season 4.

Old school Street Fighter fans might have been disappointed by the fact SF6 Season 4 includes an all-newcomer/guest season pass, but looking at Yasmine gameplay, she probably earned herself a ton of new fans.

Capcom released a full gameplay trailer for the Karambit user on June 17, and she’s looking like an incredible rushdown demon with plenty of mixup potential and ungodly resets, so you better take those throws. Check out the trailer below.

In a follow-up blog post, Capcom describes her backstory as a mysterious one, as her Kuya (older brother) one day simply vanishes. Her brother is the sole reason she started training in martial arts, and after a period of depression that led her to find inspiration in another world fighter, she embarks on a journey to find out what happened to her Kuya.

Gameplay wise, she’s got all the tools you’d need to be a good character in Street Fighter 6, at least from what we could see on the trailer: a fast drive rush speed, a cancelable crouching medium kick, good mobility, excellent mixups, an anti-air fireball, and even a level 2 install.

The main gimmick behind Yasmine is her Bayani Mode, which powers up special moves. She can enter this mode without using her install, but doing so will allow her to keep the buff for longer, making her an even greater threat.

Yasmine’s update will also bring balance changes across the board. All characters will be hit with a wave of buffs and nerfs, although don’t expect any big system mechanic changes.

Yasmine and Street Fighter 6 Season 4 kick off this upcoming August 3, just a few days after Evo 2026, where fans are hopeful to see what the future holds for the game. Maybe a small glimpse at Tifa?
