A new Overwatch 2 animated trailer has gone live, giving us our first look at the game's next hero, Vendetta. She will become the 45th playable character in the game, arriving after Wuyang's addition in Season 18.
In the trailer, we can see her battling a giant robot, which we would assume is an Omnic, inside the Colosseum in Rome. Confirming all the rumors and leaks, the hero wields a sword, and we even get a peek at her ultimate, which seems to be a giant sword slash that deals damage to anything it passes through.
The trailer has a flashback scene with Vendetta as a kid that reveals her father is Antonio Giordani, a corrupt businessman and arms dealer who is also an important member of Talon. Whether her daughter will want to follow his steps or side is something to be seen.
Although it wasn't mentioned in the trailer, a new article from the website Polygon reveals she will be a Damage hero, becoming the 20th character in this category.
Vendetta's abilities haven't been revealed, but a new gameplay trailer should come out before her test weekend begins to disclose all this information. In the meantime, here is the hero's reveal trailer in case you haven't seen it or if you want to give it another look:
The hero's test weekend will start on Wednesday, November 26, at 11:00 AM PT (7:00 PM GMT) and will end on Monday, December 1, at the same time.
Vendetta will officially release when Season 20 goes live, which is expected to begin on Tuesday, December 9, according to the Battle Pass in-game timer.
