After some teasers and hints from Blizzard, Vendetta has been confirmed as the next hero coming to Overwatch 2. Hero number 45 was officially introduced with an animated trailer, and her test weekend will begin soon.
While we wait for our chance to try her in-game, here is everything we know about the upcoming playable character.
When Does Vendetta Come Out in Overwatch 2?
Vendetta is scheduled to come out on Tuesday, December 9, once the new season is out. The new hero will be added once Season 20 launches, which is expected to go live at 11:00 AM PT (7:00 PM GMT) as always.
Trailer
Here is the animated reveal trailer for Vendetta, which shows the hero fighting what looks like a giant Omnic in the Colosseum in Rome:
When Is the Vendetta Test Trial?
The test trial or test weekend for Vendetta will begin on Wednesday, November 26, at 11:00 AM PT (7:00 PM GMT) and will last for five days, ending on Monday, December 1, at the same time.
Role and Abilities
As confirmed by several news outlets, Vendetta will be a damage hero, becoming the 20th character in this category. Her abilities have not been revealed, but we get a glimpse of them in the animated trailer above.
Almost towards the end of the fight, we see the hero create a sword slash that damages anything forward. We think this might be her ultimate ability in-game, dealing damage to anything forward and possibly passing through enemies.
Skins
As far as her skins go, we can only get a look at her default skin in the animated trailer. We will have to wait until the new season is closer to know if she's getting any legendary or epic skins, either through the battle pass or through a collaboration/shop bundle.

We will update this article once we have more information about the upcoming hero to add all the missing details.
