After all these years, Gogmazios is finally making its comeback in Monster Hunter Wilds. Coming in Title Update 4, Gogmazios will bring chaos to hunters and add a whole new level of endgame to Wilds.
While details are scarce about what the Gogmazios battle will entail, there are speculations that this could be Capcom’s way of expanding the game’s endgame content. We might be dismantling weapons attached to its body and cleansing it with random effects similar to the Safi’Jiva hunt from Monster Hunter World and Iceborne.
Gogmazios is a massive Elder Dragon that first made its appearance in Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate. If you ask any Monster Hunter veteran about it, they will only say that it’s a monster that’s covered in tar and can shoot deadly lasers that can instantly kill you. It’s a franchise favorite, which is why Capcom is likely saving him for Title Update 4. There’s still no word for a future Title Update after 4, but for now, Gogmazios will keep us busy once it arrives in a few months.
Title Update 4 will arrive sometime this December, but for now, Capcom is focused on Title Update 3, which is set to release on September 29. Title Update 3 introduces a new monster through a Final Fantasy XIV crossover with Omega Planetes. Apart from that, a new Festival of Accord event called Dreamspell is also scheduled to come out between Title Update 3. It will feature a Halloween-themed Grand Hub as well as cosmetics that are in line with the spooky season.
