While SNK has a wealth of great characters, City of the Wolves has leaned heavily on third-party characters to join the roster. The base launch fighters included real-life DJ Salvatore Ganacci and football icon Cristiano Ronaldo. Since then, each DLC season has brought its own guests: Season 1 added Street Fighter’s Ken and Chun-Li, Season 2 brought Fist of the North Star’s Kenshiro, and Season 3 is set to receive Tokyo Revengers’ Manjiro and Ken.
Reina is yet another addition to the pantheon of crossover DLC characters in Fatal Fury, and I can easily see this becoming one of the most popular ones available. That said, I do wonder if SNK could do more to represent other franchises they own; I’d love to see more The King of Fighters staples like Kyo Kusanagi or Iori Yagami, for instance.
Still, this is just a very small teaser since we didn’t get anything beyond a vague silhouette. Hopefully, the full reveal showcases how SNK is planning to adapt a 3D fighting game character into a traditional 2D plane.
Speaking of City of the Wolves, the game recently got a free demo with plenty of content to enjoy, plus, it's coming to Nintendo Switch 2 this October 22.
