Elden Ring already looks like a strong contender for 2022’s Game of the Year. Mixing their signature Souls gameplay with a beautiful open-world, FromSoftware's admitted they're a bit worried about fans comparing Elden Ring to the Demon’s Souls PS5 remake.

Elaborating further, Miyazaki also confirmed:
Such fan concerns aren't entirely unwarranted, given that Demon's Souls is a new-gen exclusive whilst Elden Ring is a cross-generation release. Evidently, FromSoftware is banking on gameplay stealing the show, though Miyazaki assured players that Elden Ring be, as evidenced in the previous Network Test.
Elden Ring launches on February 25, 2022 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S, while Demon's Souls is out now exclusively on PS5. We'll keep you informed with further details as they come in.
