To unlock the Ion Core scorestreak in Black Ops 7 and Warzone, you will need to complete six Season 3 Week 1 challenges. The area of effect streak is the first weekly challenge reward available in the new season.

Each week, the game releases 24 weekly challenges, six for each major game mode (Co-Op/Endgame, Multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone). Players only need to complete six challenges to get the reward, and challenges can be mixed and matched.

This also means players who don't own Black Ops 7 can still unlock it through the Warzone challenges, as the game is free-to-play.

Once Season 3 ends, the scorestreak can be unlocked through the Armory. First, you need to select the streak as the next reward, and then it will be a matter of playing any game (Black Ops 7 or Warzone) to gather the required experience points.

Season 3 Week 1 Challenges

Here is the list of weekly challenges available in Season 3 Week 1 of Black Ops 7 and Warzone:

  • Co-Op/Endgame
    • In Endgame: complete a Guild Strike
    • Get 50 kills while or shortly after using Kinetic Jump or Grappling Hook Ability
    • Eliminate 10 Raiders or Titans
    • Get 300 eliminations with a weapon upgraded to Exotic rarity
    • Destroy Guild equipment or VTOLs 10 times
    • In Endgame: complete the Surveillance Control activity 3 times
  • Multiplayer
    • Get 300 eliminations
    • Kill an enemy revealed by your UAV or HARP scorestreak, or earn a UAV or HARP scorestreak assist 25 times
    • Get a kill with an Assault Rifle without taking damage 25 times
    • Win 5 matches of Demolition
    • Heal 2000 health with your Stim tactical
    • Disable or destroy enemy Equipment or Scorestreak with the EMP grenade tactical or EMP System scorestreak 5 times
  • Zombies
    • Get 500 critical kills in Cursed
    • Get 15 kills with a single use of Aether Shroud 10 times
    • Get 150 kills using Pack-a-Punched melee weapons
    • Get 25 kills with a single scorestreak 50 times
    • Reach at least round 25 in Survival and successfully exfil
    • Use 15 scorestreaks
  • Warzone
    • In Black Ops Royale, complete 15 activities
    • In Black Ops Royale, travel 200 meters with the Grapple Hook
    • In Black Ops Royale, get 1 elimination with exotic weapons
    • Get 40 eliminations
    • In Black Ops Royale, open 5 crates inside of a cradle breach in a single match
    • Get 3 long shot kills
