Battlefield 6 has been out for more than two weeks, but many people are still waiting for the companion battle royale, now officially titled Battlefield REDSEC. Just like the rumors suggested, the game's release date has been confirmed, and players won't have to wait much longer.

We have gathered all the important details about its launch, including the release time, so you can start preparing to jump into the action as soon as the servers go live.

What Time Does Battlefield REDSEC Come Out?

Battlefield REDSEC is scheduled to come out on Tuesday, October 28th, the same day Season 1 releases for the main title. As for the time, the game will go live at 8:00 AM PT (3:00 PM GMT) on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

The game is a free-to-play experience, meaning you won't have to purchase Battlefield 6 to start playing. This will be a companion to the premium title, similar to how Warzone is a companion to every major Call of Duty release each year.

Trailer

A gameplay trailer is scheduled to go live at the same time as the game, given that REDSEC was just announced 24 hours before its release. Once the time is up, you will be able to watch the trailer below:

Thanks to leaked gameplay from a private test that took place a few months ago, we know the launch map for this mode will be based in California, United States. The map will have several POIs, like a high-end suburb full of mansions, reminiscent of the top-tier LA neighborhoods, and access to the coast, allowing for some traversing on water.

According to leaker ModernWarzone on X (previously Twitter), the matches will support up to 100 players, and only Duos and Quads playlists will be available at launch. That doesn't mean it will stay like that, as more formats could be added in future weeks.
