The post-launch journey of Battlefield 6 is well underway, with Season 1 continuing to provide new maps, modes, weapons, Battle Pass rewards, and much more for players to enjoy.
Season 1 is currently at its midway point as it prepares to welcome the third and final phase, Winter Offensive, in the coming weeks.
Here’s everything you need to know about the Season 1 finale, including its start date and content!
Battlefield 6 Winter Offensive Start & End Date
The third and final phase of Battlefield 6 Season 1, Winter Offensive, is scheduled to start on December 9 and end on or around January 20, 2026.

Season 1 began on October 28 and is running for just under three months, with Winter Offensive closing it out into the new year before Season 2 arrives.
Winter Offensive Content
As its name suggests, phase three of Season 1 will add a wintery feel to Battlefield 6 as it introduces a snowy version of Empire State alongside an Ice Lock mode that freezes Brooklyn and changes how squads move throughout the map.
This limited-time event is centered around a mechanic called Freeze, which slowly reduces player health if they do not seek alternative heat sources. Combat zones will have designated heat zones to bring your core temperature back up to normal, while fires can be created using incendiary grenades and other gadgets.
Elsewhere, the melee lineup will receive a new addition, with an Ice Climbing Axe matching the winter theme and landing accurate strikes for those close-knit skirmishes.

Similar to the Ice Lock event for multiplayer, Gauntlet will also have a limited-time Ice Lock variant. At the same time, a new verified mode and all Winter Offensive content will be applied to Portal.
EA and Battlefield Studios have stated that more content will join the Winter Offensive lineup, but what that consists of remains unknown at this stage. While there has been no confirmation that new guns, vehicles, or maps will be included, more bundles are likely to be added to the in-game store, and we may even see a limited-time Battle Pass path similar to the one currently available in California Resistance.
More information on the Winter Offensive update is expected to be released on December 9 as it goes live across all platforms.
