IO Interactive has announced that 007 First Light will launch on Nintendo Switch 2 on March 18, 2027.

The news was confirmed alongside a brand-new gameplay trailer showcasing James Bond's reimagined origin story running on the platform. Pre-orders for the Switch 2 version are now live through the Nintendo Store, Amazon, and other selected retailers.

007 First Light: Deluxe Edition is available for $69.99, giving players early access to the GoldenEye Suit upon launch. It also provides the Gleaming Lighter, Gleaming Earphones, Gleaming Dart Gun, and Gleaming Pen gadgets, alongside four outfits: the Day of the Dead, the Desert Explorer, the Silent Anchor, and the Gentleman Operator. Additionally, 007 First Light: Special Edition on Switch 2 is also available exclusively via Amazon, which includes the Classic Tuxedo.

007 First Light was originally planned to release on Switch 2 alongside all other platforms back in May, but it has since been delayed several times to allow IO extra time for technical optimization, performance polishing, and general quality control.

Players and press had their first opportunity to experience First Light running on Nintendo's hardware during Gamescom and Tokyo Game Show earlier this year. IO Interactive says responses from both events have been positive, reflecting the progress being made across the game as development continues toward launch.

The studio adds that its development team will use the coming months to refine the game's optimisation and performance on Nintendo Switch 2 to ensure it meets the standard players expect upon release.
