October 2, 2023: Season 18 is in full swing and we've got everything you need to know about the Peacekeeper in our guide.

The Peacekeeper shotgun is a surefire way of dealing huge damage in Season 18 of Apex Legends. The Outlands' arsenal contains a wealth of weaponry, and mastering this particular shotgun will allow you to score plenty of kills with ease in both casual and ranked matches.

The Peacekeeper is a lever-action shotgun that fires 11 pellets in the shape of a star. With the choke active, the pellet spread is reduced massively for a huge improvement in accuracy.

Before we take a closer look at the Peacekeeper in Apex Legends, take a look at our Apex Legends tier list showcasing the best Legends to use for the remainder of Season 18.

Weapon attachments

All short-range optics work with this shotgun, so you can use the 1x Holo and HCOG, the 1x-2x Variable Holo, the 2x Bruiser if you're feeling ambitious, and the legendary Digital Threat with the Peacekeeper. You can also equip a shotgun bolt to increase reload speed, and now a standard stock can be attached to shotguns for increased ADS accuracy and improved handling speeds.

Sights

  • 1x Holo
  • 1x HCOG Classic
  • 1x-2x Variable Holo
  • 2x HCOG Bruiser
  • 1x Digital Threat

Shotgun Bolts

  • Common shotgun bolt (WHITE)
  • Rare shotgun bolt (BLUE)
  • Epic shotgun bolt (PURPLE)
  • Legendary shotgun bolt (GOLD)

The legendary shotgun bolt adds the Kinetic Feeder ability, which used to be a hop-up on both the Peacekeeper and the Triple Take marksman back in Season 12. This gold bolt allows you to automatically reload the Peacekeeper while sliding, which can come in handy when you're battling a Gibraltar strafing between his bubble or running around an obstacle trying to hunt down your prey.

Stocks

  • Common standard stock (WHITE)
  • Rare standard stock (BLUE)
  • Epic standard stock (PURPLE)

Standard stocks were introduced to shotguns in Season 14 of Apex Legends. In the same way, these attachments aid SMGs, LMGs, and Assault Rifles, they can now be placed onto most shotguns. The Mozambique is the only shotgun a stock cannot be placed onto. Attaching a standard stock to a shotgun allows you to increase reload time, decrease holster/unholster time and raise/lower time. It also decreases the time it takes to enter and exit ADS, as well as improving aim while ADSing.

Is the Peacekeeper good in Apex Legends?

The Peacekeeper is a devastating shotgun to use in Season 18, but it can leave you vulnerable to other attacks if it's your only weapon. Its small magazine size means accuracy is key. It also means that you need to think carefully about how you're going to use this weapon. If you use it and run out of ammunition in the middle of an exposed area, you'll become an easy target trying to reload. Luckily, that's where the golden shotgun bolt comes into play. Just hit a slide mid-fight, and the legendary bolt will reload a pellet for you.

Either way, the shotgun hits like a truck, meaning you can do a huge amount of damage. You can kill unarmoured enemies in a single shot. You can even kill armoured enemies in just two or three shots if your aim is accurate.

Although the Peacekeeper looks like an unassuming weapon, it's guaranteed to deal huge damage in close-quarters scenarios. Paired with an R-301 or a G7 Scout for mid to long-range battles, or with an SMG like the CAR or R-99 for short to mid-range bouts, you've got a loadout perfect for almost all situations.
