Wondering how to cross the river and explore the other half of your island? Good news, it's A LOT easier than you'd think.

How To Cross Rivers

Deliver enough bugs and fish to Tom Nook, and his friend Blathers will offer to come and stay on the island and build a museum.

Once he does so, have a chat with him, and he'll give you a recipe for a Vaulting Pole.

Once you've got it, you'll need five pieces of softwood (chop trees with your axe to get this) and you'll be able to craft it.

You'll then be able to equip it and hop from riverbank to riverbank with ease.
