Along with this new update comes the ability to dream!

But how does it work and what can you do? Here are the details

Dreaming is a way to visit a snapshot of a person's island without them being there.

Unlike past games, you no longer need to build a Dream Suite building to dream.

SLEEPING AWAY: Visit another island from the comfort of your own bed

Simply head to your house, jump on your bed and sleep. When lying on your bed select the “Yeah, I want to sleep… ” option.

When doing so, this will give you the option to dream and you will be greeted by Luna in the dream realm.

To access another person's island, you will need to have an internet connection and a Nintendo Switch Online subscription.

When arriving on an island, you will arrive on your bed in the middle of that island's plaza.

Upon arrival, you will have nothing in your inventory, meaning you cannot make any major changes to the island.

You can explore the island as much as you like, but you will not be able to make any permanent changes.

What you can take away with you are custom designs that are hosted on the design portal. This will appear next to your bed on the island plaza.

You'll also be able to meet the Resident Representative for that island.

HALF-MOON: Luna's dreaming ability will only allow you to explore another island

Luna will provide you with an address when you create the dream version of your island - it can be found by viewing your passport and island map.

Your island does not update as you make changes in real-time - they are preserved at the point that you created it.

You will need to talk to Luna and ask her to update it, but this can only be done once per day.
