Returnal Cargo Bay: How to Get Inside the Locked Door in Helios

Returnal throws you headfirst into a hostile alien environment with little more than a handgun to help you survive. Your ship, Helios, has crashed down from above. While it's pretty useless for flying, you can crawl in through a hole in the hull. You'll find a bed, a ship computer and a locked red door inside. The door leads to the Cargo Bay, but it will be locked for most of your time with Returnal. Here's how to open the Cargo Bay Door in Helios.

Returnal: How to Get Into the Locked Cargo Bay in Helios

To get inside the locked Cargo Bay door in Returnal you will need to beat the final boss and all six biomes the game has to offer. Once you do, you'll be able to get inside the Cargo Bay, finally. The final boss comes at the end of the Sunken Depths section of the game, a tough fight indeed.

What's Inside the Cargo Bay?

Inside the Cargo Bay you will find a device that allows you to switch between the two main timelines in the game. This means switching between the following sets of biomes:

1. Overgrown Ruins, Crimson Wastes, Derelict Citadel
2. Echoing Ruins, Fractured Ruins, Abyssal Scar

You can use this to collect Xenoglyphs you may have missed, and to replay certain bosses.
