Microsoft Brings Xbox Series X FPS Boost To Select EA Games


Microsoft's FPS Boost technology which improves framerates for backwards compatible titles when played on Xbox Series S/X consoles is being rolled out to a series of EA games.

The technique, which Microsoft announced back in February and has since supplemented with a handful of Bethesda titles, will add up to 120hz support for the likes of Battlefield V, Star Wars Battlefront II, and Titanfall 2.

Microsoft Brings Xbox Series X FPS Boost To Select EA Games

The following games will gain 120hz support:

Xbox Series X Only

  • Battlefield 1
  • Battlefield V
  • Mirror's Edge: Catalyst
  • Star Wars Battlefront II
  • Titanfall

Xbox Series X/S

  • Battlefield 4
  • Plants Vs Zombies: Garden Warfare
  • Plants Vs Zombies: Garden Warfare 2
  • Plants Vs Zombies: Battle for Neighborville
  • Star Wars Battlefront
  • Titanfall 2
  • Unravel 2

Additionally, Sea of Solitude will now have 60hz support on both platforms.

Microsoft notes that by default, many of the 120hz options are disabled and must be switched on within the console's menus using the steps in the video below:
