World Of Warcraft: Shadowlands Chains Of Domination Campaign Finale

This week players were able to reach Renown 58 which unlocks the final chapter in the Covenant campaigns, which had been confirmed to hold the final cinematic that had been hidden in the files to prevent data mining since the launch of 9.1.

After a disappointing end to the Sanctum of Domination raid, players were holding out hope for this final in-game cutscene to give some direction as to where the story of the Shadowlands is going.

The rest of this article will feature spoilers so if you wish to play through the story in-game, stop here.

During the final questline titles "Anduin's Goodbye", Anduin's compass is found which he has seemingly dropped to inform the Alliance of what has happened to him.

The cutscene features dialog prior to the attack on the Sanctum of Domination between Sylvanas and Anduin.

Anduin talks about slipping further into the control of the Jailer and by the time Zovaal completes his goal he will truly be lost.

This seems to hint that while Anduin did look to be completely controlled during the Sanctum of Domination cutscene, there still may be hope to save him before Zovaal can complete his goal.

The cinematic is very short and does not give any indication as to where we are going next, or any real closure to the story of Chains of Domination.
