World of Warcraft 17th Anniversary Begins This Week And Introduces A New Timewalking World Boss


World of Warcraft turns 17 on the 24th of November, but players have 3 weeks to participate in all the celebrations including a new world boss Timewalking event to take on the Doomwalker from The Burning Crusade for a chance at a new toy and mount.

A with any year, upon logging in on the 15th players will be awarded a unique achievement to acknowledge they had logged on during the event and will have an anniversary gift package waiting in their mailbox.

Inside the package is a token that will increase all experience gains by 17% during the event, making leveling alt characters faster just in time for Legion Timewalking or patch 9.2 Eternity's End.

Players will also receive an invitation to visit Chromie in the Caverns of Time, where most of the activities will occur or quests will begin.

Players level 30 and above can defeat Lord Kazzak, Azuregos, and one of Four Dragons of Nightmare a day for a chance at loot and extra Timewarped Badges.

The new Timewalking world boss is the Doomwalker, who has a weekly quest tied behind his defeat, which has a chance to award the new Trophy Stand toy and Illidari Dragonhawk mount.

To find the boss, travel to the Caverns of Time, where Doomwalker will be walking outside near the summoning stone.

Vendors in the Caverns of Time will sell Pets, Toys, Cosmetics, and fun Consumable items during the event, but for players who have participated in anniversary events before, there won't be anything new to collect.

The Timewalking event runs from the 15th of November to December 6th, so players wanting to resubscribe for Timewalking on December 7th can return a bit earlier and still earn their achievement.
