After Blizzard announced that nerfs could possibly be coming to certain Mage Tower encounters, they released the first round of nerfs to the challenges based on internal data from the first few days and the Legion versions.

The nerfs also go both ways, with player power receiving a slight nerf for players who went out of their way to farm old TBC gear with extra sockets, and gems that would go into them, as well as, certain Legion Timewalking trinkets that were overperforming.

Because of the scaling, these items can still be used they are just less effective, and not 10%+ stronger than Shadowlands gear anymore.

A number of individual encounters have been nerfed based on spec performance, which should make certain mechanics more manageable, without affecting the overall difficulty much.

As of the time of posting, there are roughly two days left until the weekly maintenance, where we could see a few more nerfs come in if Blizzard finds any more outliers that missed the first round, we will update this list to acknowledge the new changes.

Blizzard also confirmed that the Mage Tower will last two extra weeks, and will disappear after maintenance on the 4th of January.
