Uncharted fans have been very dissatisfied with the game's choices since its release. There are many things to dislike, whether it's the casting or the disregard for established lore. Zack 'ZLaner' Lane, however, has been adamantly defending the film.
According to ZLaner, Uncharted is his favorite game series, and the trailer only fueled his excitement. Despite acknowledging that many fans disliked the casting choices, he disagreed that they damaged the movie. This is an uncommon opinion.

ZLaner tweeted his support for the Uncharted movie.
Although many tweets argue their points about the casting, Sony made a decision that helped the movie. This kind of casting brings in more ticket sales, and ZLaner does not aim for a true-to-the-game story.
Many of the tweets supporting ZLaner state that they either didn't enjoy the game or hadn't played it. It's understandable since it's an exclusive PlayStation game in a genre that isn't as popular as it used to be. My personal preference would be for an Uncharted movie to stick to the story, but not many movies choose to do so.
It's nice to see a fan take a positive stance towards the series, not someone who has no vested interest in the series.
