Netflix Says "The Witcher Season 2" Will Be Released Soon

Netflix previously revealed that Season 2 of The Witcher would arrive during the second half of 2021, but it did not specify when. Many assumed that due to delays in filming from COIVD, it might be an even longer wait. It looks like Netflix's Twitter account just gave us an intriguing new teaser, which suggests it might be the second half of 2021.

This poster depicts Geralt and Ciri standing side by side, which is not surprising because they eventually met in Season 1. As far as Season 2 is concerned, Ciri will likely be training for the Witcher role. The show is supposed to follow the same storyline, or at least similar to the games, so that's why everyone is guessing that.

Netflix says that The Witcher Season 2 is 'coming soon'

At the bottom of the page are two words: "coming soon." This obviously means that it is in the works and may even be released before the end of 2021. I would bet on it being true, otherwise, Netflix wouldn't have a problem saying they couldn't meet the deadline.

Netflix is likely to elaborate on that during Geeked Week, which starts next week. Netflix will announce upcoming shows, including The Cuphead Show, The Sandman, and the new Masters of the Universe: Revelation, from June 7 to June 11. Many are hoping to see some news about The Witcher.

While Netflix has been guarded about what we can expect in Season 2, set photos suggest that The Wild Hunt may appear and that the show won't be quite as hard to follow as the first. The first season of the series had some episodes that were out of chronological order, and Netflix says the second season will be more accessible for those who are not familiar with the books or games.
